Security and Encryption
- Your data is AES 256-bit encrypted and compressed prior to leaving your systems
- Data is transferred over AES 128-bit one-way TLS 1.2 connections to be stored- encrypted- in our private cloud systems
- Your data is only decrypted at your destination machine during a recovery/restore operation
- Encryption keys are not held or stored in our data centers. Your data is un-readable by anyone while stored
Backup and Client Software
- True Delta Technology: Reduces backup size by looking for changes at the block level combined with incremental backups. Only the parts of the file that have changed are processed with incremental backups, saving bandwidth and storage
- True Delta Restore: The absolute minimum delta from the cloud or Local Speed Vault will be retrieved to perform a restore, resulting in very fast restore times
- Extremely fast discovery of changes in data reduce backup run-times up to 10x
- Block level de-duplication and client-side compression prevents sending and storing data, unnecessarily
- Client-Side cabinet caching reduces bandwidth load and CPU overhead
- CPU optimized client ensures less than 10% of a typical CPUs capacity utilized
- 2-tier backup allows for an optional “Local Speed Vault” (local drive on premise) mirroring our cloud backup for faster local restores
- Advanced reconnect: When the connection fails during a backup, the backup operation will resume when the connect is restored
- Bandwidth Throttling: Ability to [optionally] limit the bandwidth usage during specific hours
